St Gildas RC Junior School

The school occupies various buildings on a steeply sloping site. The condition of some of these and the lack of level circulation routes presents serious obstacles to providing an accessible learning environment.

The proposed strategy involves the refurbishment of the main existing buildings and the creating of new circulation spaces that resolve the level changes across the site. Through phased development the now ageing temporary classrooms may be removed and more external play space created.
